~Lizzy turns 12~Happy 12th B-day Alyssa
 7/26/2007Wow! I have a 12 year old daughter! My baby is now a young lady, and is about to begin Junior High in August! I can't believe it. Alyssa has turned out to be a wonderful person, with so much going for her. She is a really good soccer player and is beginning her first season on a club team. She plays the violin and the flute, along with running track. She participated in the spelling bee, the academic pentathalon, the math bowl, and not to mention she got straight A's the whole entire year. Sorry, I had to take a minute to brag a little. Anyways, as my first born, she holds a special place in my heart and if all of the achievements that she has made thus far is a preview of her future endeavors, then we are going to be very busy for the next few years...lol. Seriously though, I am so proud of Alyssa and I guess this 12th b-day was a wake up call because she really is growing up and maturing. I look forward to the future and watching her grow up even more into a beautiful and successful young lady.
We celebrated her birthday this year at her grandpa's house where we had a hawaiin themed party. She invited a bunch of her friends and they played the Wii, ping pong, pool, air hockey, and dodgeball. They also had a watermelon eating contest. We then had pizza and cake. Overall, it turned out to be a great day. We wanted to take the time to thank everyone who shared this special day with us, and also thank our family and friends who brought and sent presents.
We love you Alyssa and are so glad to have you as our daughter! |
