~Alyssa turns 11~Happy Birthday Alyssa

So miss Alyssa just turned 11 years old. I can't believe how quickly the years have gone by. Alyssa is quick to correct anyone that calls her a kid as she will jump at the chance to tell you she is a "PRETEEN." This is her last year of Elementary School as she will be in the 6th grade. I know it is sometimes tough being the oldest child, but somehow you learn to manage. I am speaking from experience of course.
Anyways, on to the details......she decided to have her party at the Marketplace which is an outdoor Mall here in Bakersfield. I took her and a few of her friends to lunch at a pizza parlor, and then off to a movie we went. They decided to see the movie "John Tucker must die." It was a cute movie for the younger generation..I guess. Anyways that was fun and then we came back to the house to have her cake and open presents. She decided to ask Scott to rub cake in her face and then she spent quite a bit of time cleaning it up! So, overall the party was alot of fun and everyone had a good time. ~Brylan turns 1~HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRYLAN
 7/6/06So Brylan turns 1 year old!!!! Can you believe it has been a year already??? Wow...how time flies. We decided to put his birthday celebration on hold until his sisters got back from Virginia. They were devastated at the thought of celebrating his birthday without them. I can say that it has been an interesting year learning to care for a little boy after 3 girls in a row. He just has so much personality and every day I fall more and more in love with him. He started out at a hefty 9 lbs, and now at a year he is weighing in at 23 lbs! Besides getting teeth, he has done everything so early. He walked at barely 11 months and now he just runs all over the house getting into things and making messes. He also is becoming quite a good climber. My house has barracades everywhere to keep him out of the toilet, off of the fireplace, out of the closets,out of the kitchen, and off of the beds!!! He is just so independent. His sisters just got home last week and they want to carry him around everywhere!!! Well...he's not having that. He's Mr. Bigstuff and wants to walk everywhere. It's actually quite amusing and as you can imagine there is never a dull moment. I just want to say that having a boy is so fulfilling and such a learning experience everyday. It took a long time to finally have a boy and with that I want to say Happy Birthday Brylan, and we have been thrilled to
have you in our lives this past year and look forward to many more to come. You mean the world to us and we love you with all our heart!
We actually had Brylans party on August 5th. We celebrated it with his sister Alyssa and had their birthdays together. He loved his little cake and he got a little rocking motorcycle bike that can be pushed outside with a handle. His sisters got him a play telephone, and most family members bought him clothes. Overall his party was great and here are some pictures to prove it!
