~Birthday Time~Happy Birthday Madison and
Today we celebrated Madison's 8th Birthday, and Kalem's 7th Birthday! Yep, they share the same Birthday 1 year apart!
We had their party in the backyard along with many friends and family that were there to celebrate with us. We had a fun water party with a little pool, a triple slip-n-slide, and a whale pool with a slide on it! We also had 2 piniata's, Kalem had a baseball one, and Madison had a cake one. Kalem got to make his own cake and decorate it himself, and Madison decided to make cupcakes. This way there was a variety and plenty of candy from the piniata's. Everyone seemed to have a great time, and we are just thankful that so many people were able to share this special day with us. We want to take the time to tell Madison and Kalem that we love them very much and can't believe how fast they are growing up. We are so glad that their day was so special for them. We also want to thank everyone for the presents that they sent or brought.
Please check out the pictures we took during their party:) ~Summer Adventures~We are going to start out our summer by celebrating a double Birthday Party for Madison and Kalem! They share the same Birthday, one year apart on May 27th. Maddie will be 8, and Kalem will be 7.
Following that will be the last week of school, and then on June the 1st, we will all be headed to Virginia for a Family Trip. We are really excited, as we will all be going, including Kalem! We have a week filled with endless adventures! We will start our trip by heading to Colonial Beach to stay at my dad's for the weekend. We will go fishing, boating, and camping while we are with him! We will then spend a couple days visiting Washington D.C.. While there we will be going to the museums, to the zoo, and even trying to go up in the Monument! After that, we will spend a few days at Ocean City in Maryland with my mom and my stepdad! They are so excited for our visit, and I am equally excited to go there! After that we will head home on June the 9th. Only the boys will come home with us, but as every summer, the girls will stay in Virginia for about 6 weeks to visit with my family.
Next, I will begin taking classes for the summer again at BC. Those begin June 9th and then I will also work part-time. I am also doing well with my Notary Business, and between all of the above, I am always busy. Scott will keep busy with work and coaching. Our next trip will be to Vegas at the end of June for a few days. I am really excited for this trip since we well deserve a trip away without the kids! The last time we went to Vegas was when we got married in August of 2004! It will just be nice to have some time away to relax and spend some quality time together.
Next, we will celebrate 2 more birthdays in July. Brylan will be 2, and Alyssa will be 12. The girls will be back at the end of July and then we will celebrate their birthdays! After that we will probably be heading to Oregon in August to visit Scott's mom and grandma and sister. We will probably go the week of August 10th, which happens to also be my 32nd birthday.
It seems we have a busy summer ahead of us, and after all of this it will be time for soccer to start up for all of the girls! Alyssa will also be starting Junior High in August! I'm telling you......go, go ,go...non-stop for this family. We hope everyone also has a wonderful summer and has many great plans in store for their families as well! ~Spring Select~Red Hots
Alyssa's Spring Select Team was called the Red Hots, and Scott was her coach again. They had a great season winning all of their games except for one game that was a tie. They went on to the Championship Tournament and won 1st place.
That season is now over and Scott has decided to coach for a club organization here called the Bakersfield Evolution. It is a non-profit organization, that is starting up this year. Scott went last weekend to get his coaching "E" license that is needed to coach a club team. He is certainly excited to take a team to the next level, and Alyssa is as well. He brought many of the girls from his select team over and has had a few tryouts to try to pick up other girls. The season doesn't start until August, so he is just practicing with them now and trying to get them ready. We wish him luck on this new adventure as a coach! |
