~Update on the girls~5/11/2006 I just wanted to give a little update on the girls and let you know what they have been up to lately. They are still going strong and keeping me busy. Let's start with Alyssa, who made straight A's again on her report card. She is always the one who has so much going on now adays. She just had a Spring Concert at school, which she played the violin and sang in the glee club. This is her second year playing the violin and she is becoming really good at it. In fact she has even gotten two trophies this year for the violin. Next, she has been meeting two times a week to prepare for the academic pentathalon which she was selected to be in this year. She also is now playing on a basketball league, since soccer has ended until August.
Alexis is also still going strong with her cheerleading. She has moved up to the next level in which they give her a differen't color pom pon. She went from a red one to now a teal one. She is doing great in school, and just loves to help me out with her baby brother. I see so much of myself in her that it is just amazing. Everywhere we go, people can't believe how much she looks like me!
Madison is still just a ball of energy. She was just in the play Peter Rabbit at her school yesterday. She played the mother and did an excellent job. She practiced her lines every day for like 3 weeks. We also got a letter in the mail asking us if she could be tested for the GATE (gifted and talented) Program within the school district. They select these individuals by their test scores, and by the ability they demonstrate in their regular class. They tested her last week and we should hear something soon. Her grades are also just awesome.
All three of the girls are going to be in a talent show tomorrow at their school carnival. They had to try out for it, and they each have been working hard to prepare for it. I am really excited to see how they perform tomorrow at the show. I will post some pictures as soon as I get them.
All three of these girls just make me so proud to be their mother. I just don't know what I'd do without them.
