~Sports~Where do I start?
Alyssa has been on 5 soccer teams during the 07-08 seasons! Back in August, she started off with her club Team the Evolution, which Scott coached. This is our first year doing club, and Alyssa wanted to take soccer to the next level, so we did. Scott coached this team to the end of the regular season, but then things just weren't working out with that team. She then decided to try out for a U-13 Brigade Coast League. She made that club team and she fit in perfect. That team made it to the State Cup which was in Lancaster this year. They made it to the final 8 teams out of 120 teams statewide. They did awesome and we were happy for them to make it that far. She also played on a regular season AYSO team, and a Spring Select AYSO team. She also made her Middle School soccer team which about 100 people tried out and she was one of the few 7th graders that made it. Let's put it this way, this child LOVES soccer. We would never make her play, she does all of this because of her love for the game. She wants to take it all the way to College and we will be supporting her the whole way. Alyssa just tried out for the U-14 Gunners Coast League and she will play on that club team for the 08-09 season.
Alexis played soccer in the fall, and is in the Choir at school. She was selected for the Pentathalon at school and has started practicing for that. She is also getting ready to start Gymnastics in a couple of weeks.
Madison also played soccer in the fall, but she also made the track team at Eissler. She was the only 3rd grader that made the team. She just had the regional meet last week and she did awesome. Madison just started softball earlier this month and their opening day is the last weekend of this month. She really likes it and it's great that she can have something of her own to get her "individual" attention.
Kalem is going strong with Baseball. He is by far the biggest kid on the team and an excellent batter. He does awesome. It took him a few seasons to get it down, but now he is a great asset to his team.
Scott is still going strong with his indoor soccer team. He has games every Saturday evening. Occasionally he will play in a tournament, like the last one which was a 30 and over team! Boy was that a reality check! I can't wait until he turns 30 so that I can tease him like he does me! Scott also plays basketball on Thursdays nights up at the church with his brothers.
