~Playoff Time~and
So just when we thought the fall season of soccer was coming to an end, Alyssa's team, which Scott coaches, made the regional playoffs. Her team went the whole season (10 games) undefeated, and they won both of their regional games this past Saturday. This means that they are the regional U12 champions Of our division and they have won every single game of their season. This is so exciting for all of us, and poor Alyssa is so worn out from 2 straight games on Saturday. Her legs are sore and she pulled a muscle.
Next for her team is the Area playoffs. It will be on December 2nd, and they will play 3 games that day. There are about 60 teams in these playoffs from all over Kern County. If they do well on those 3 games, then they will advance to the Sunday afternoon games. There will be two games then and that will end those playoffs. Depending on how we do, we will see what the next step is.
Alyssa has played awesome this season and so many people are noticing her. I can't even begin to explain how good of a soccer player she is. I have to give Scott credit for that as he is not only her team coach, but he has been her personal coach for almost 4 years now and she has learned so much from him.
We hope her team does great in the area playoffs and let's all wish them luck. Even if they don't win, they have come far. Scott is also coaching her Spring Select Team which will begin next month. Soccer is definitely a loved sport in my household!!!!! ~Happy Birthday Alexis~Happy 10th Birthday Alexis
What a great month it has been for Miss Alexis. To start out, she auditioned to sing the National Anthem at the Condors Hockey Game and they called and asked her to sing on November 11th.Needless to say she went out there in front of about 5000 people and sang her little heart out. I was more nervous than her and I am so proud of her for going out there so bravely. I was in tears the whole time. Words can't express just how proud she made me that evening. We took about 15 family members with us to that game to show Alexis our support. Thank Goodness I have it on video, but she gets mad at me when I watch it. She asks why I watch it so much...lol!
So on to the next big event. Alexis turned 10 on 11/16. We went out to dinner on the evening of her birthday to a place that she chose. She wanted to go to a buffet, so off we went. We had her birthday/slumber party on the 18th of November. We played musical chairs, hot potato, and charades. We had pizza, ate cake and ice-cream, and then the girls settled down by watching movies. I did have to bug them to go to bed at about 2am. The next day was going to be a clean-up day, but then Alexis got invited to a movie called "Happy Feet" with her friend Raegan. They went to the movie and then her bithday escapades came to an end. I want to thank everyone who shared her birthday with us and also thank everyone who sent a gift. We obviously wish everyone in our family could have come and shared this birthday with us. ~Soccer~So, it's that time again; The end of another soccer season! Madison's season with the "Cheetah Girls" already finished and Alyssa and Alexis have only one more game tomorrow which will be the end of their season. Madison had her team party and got her trophy. She loves to get trophies, so she is really excited to add this one to her collection. Alexis' team party with the "Green Dragons" will be next week sometime, and Alyssa's team party is this Wednesday evening. I will be posting pictures up of all 3 as I get them.
I also wanted to take the time to brag about Alyssa's team the "Mighty Green Bombardiers", which Scott coaches. They are still undefeated with 9 straight wins and only one more game tomorrow. They have already made it to the playoffs which begin on 11/18. They play 2 games that day and we are hoping to make it to the area playoffs. Please wish their team luck on this journey in the playoffs. ~Halloween~Happy Halloween
~October 31st 2006~
What an exciting Halloween! Alexis was a Vampira, and Madison was an army girl, and Alyssa didn't really dress up because she chose to go to Fright Fest at Six Flags in L.A. I almost got Brylan a costume, but he looked so cute in his pumpkin shirt that I just let him wear that. Of course the girls got tons of candy and even Brylan walked up to a few doors with them. He was trying to eat the candy the whole way home:) When I gave him his bucket at first it was empty and he kept throwing it on the ground, but then after it had candy in it he would not let it go! We walked around for about an hour and a half and then went to a haunted house. It was a neat haunted house, but only Madison was really scared (ok...me too when they chased me out with a chainsaw). Overall it was a great night since the kids had fun and that's what matters:)
