~Eissler Fall Festival~Fall Festival
 10/20/2006 This evening we went to the Annual Carnival at the girl's school. They normally have it in May, but this year they changed it up a bit and decided to have a "Fall Festival." The girls and Kalem all go to the same school, so they all got to play together and have fun. Brylan just loved all of the commotion going on around him. The kids got their hair spray painted, went rock climbing, did the cake walk, jumped in the bounce house, and ate alot of junk food! I normally wouldn't let them have that much sugar in the evening, but I let it slide for this one night. I figured that with all the running around they were doing, it would just wear them out anyways:) They all had a great time and we are posting some pictures to show you! ~Another Trip to VA...YAY~ Visiting Home10/5-10/9

Well here it is over 3 years since I moved to Bakersfield and it still isn't any easier to be away from home. I have been so fortunate to be able to go home to VA about 6 times since Brylan has been born. I want to make sure that he knows my family and that they love him deeply. It breaks my heart that my mom is not here to hug and hold him every day. I seriously hope that one day we move closer to my family, not only for my sake, but because the girls miss everyone back East terribly.
This most recent trip home wasn't for any reason except that I missed my parents and wanted to go home and visit them. I always split my time evenly with them while I am there. I traveled with only Brylan this time, and it's been about 5 months since he has gone there with me. Boy was he like a hurricane tearing through my mom's little apartment! He was into everything....I MEAN EVERYTHING:) It wasn't long before we moved stuff off of tables and blocked off the stairs etc.
That Friday evening I was so happy that I got to go out to dinner with my brother and my sister along with my mom and stepdad Kevin. We all went to Chili's and it was just awesome since it is hard for all of us to get together with everyone's differen't schedules. Mainly, I mean my brother since he lives like 2 hours away and can't always make it to see me since my visits are pretty short. After that I went out with some High School friends, and some of them I hadn't seen in like 13 years. It was so much fun. Unfortunately, I got a 24 hour flu and spent 1 full day in bed recovering. I spent the remainder of the visit with my dad. He just bought a new house in July and he loves to show it off to me. I am so proud of him. He had a cookout for me and I got to see some of my dad's side of the family.
I can't explain in words how happy I am when I get to go home. Brylan had a great time visiting and my parents just loved to see him. The only bad part besides getting sick was trying to keep a 15 month old content on the plane! That was a challenge, but I just need to get used to it since I will be going back to VA again in December:)
